We meet every Friday from 19.30 until 21.30 in the warm and comfortable New Room at Oakwood Church (except when we arrange Easter, August and Christmas holiday breaks).
The group has been enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities from beginners and accompanied children to established local Artists. Everyone is welcome.
We explore own ideas, in our own medium, in our own way, at our own pace, and share our knowledge and experience with each other.
Some people find time to work on their projects between meetings but others only develop their’s during meetings.
There are no rules, no lessons, no expectations and no pressures - which make it a kind, sociable and truly relaxing way to spend an evening. The only thing that matters is that you enjoy being creative.
People work in watercolour, oil paints, acrylic paints, pastels, pen and ink, pencil, card, modelling clay, even on computer _ _ _ there is no limit to our creativity.
You don’t have to come every week, just drop in when you can or whenever the muse is upon you.
We ask for a donation of £2 a session towards room costs. Refreshments are provided free of charge by members who volunteer to put their names on a rota.
Just drop-in one Friday evening, or get in touch if you would like to know more.
The Art Group
During the Covid emergency, while many of our members have been shielding, the Art Group continued to meet on-line by Zoom every Friday from 19.30 to 21.30. Some came for the whole session and some dropped in for a chat
If you would like to join the Art Group, or to share some of the work you have made while isolating, please get in touch with David Donaldson
