Oakwood Church Leeds

THE BIG BLUE BIN
Oakwood Church supports many charities in a variety of ways. One initiative is THE BIG BLUE BIN
Each month we collect non-perishable food items and toiletries for the four charities listed below. They each benefit from our donations three times a year
Caring for Life
Situated in Cookridge, this is a Christian charity with the aim of sharing the love of Jesus with homeless and other vulnerable people by providing accommodation, ongoing support, love and friendship and, when necessary, providing that care ‘for life'
St George's Crypt
The charity in the heart of the city of Leeds, working with the homeless, the vulnerable, and those suffering from addiction
PAFRAS - Positive Action for
Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Based at St Aiden's Church, Harehills, their aims are to
- reduce the effects of destitution and poverty
- improve physical health and mental wellbeing
- support access to mainstream services
- raise awareness of the problem of destitution among local communities
The Meeting Point Cafe
‘A beacon in the heart of Harehills’. For all the years it has been open it has continued its work of offering friendship, care and concern to its many customers
