Messy Church

Messy Church - All ages welcome

Families come along to our Messy Church, once a month, for an hour and a half of fun, food and fellowship

We usually meet on a Saturday afternoon

 from 16.00 to 17.30

We start with a variety of messy (and non-messy) activities in the hall, have a short act of worship sharing together the good news of Jesus, and then it's time for a bite to eat

Activities are suitable for families with children of all ages. Join together in family craft and creative activities with biblical reference

Enjoy uninterrupted time with your children and meet new people in a safe and friendly environment

Sessions end with a bring-and-share light tea at 17.15

Messy Church is free but, if you are able, we would like you to bring a small contribution of food, for example crisps, buns, sandwiches, fruit, etc

We hope you can join us. It's all about sharing the love of Jesus and having an amazing time together

Messy Church Prayer Diary

To help us to pray for one another, and recognise one another’s needs we keep a Messy Church prayer diary

Each day of the month you can pray for a different member of the congregation, or one of the Church groups

When you come along to Messy Church please let us know how we can best support you and your family in prayer

Saturday Gathering - £1 per child

We run Saturday Gathering alongside Messy Church enabling time for fun together with friends

Children aged 8 to 11 (in school years 4, 5 and 6) can play pool, do crafts, play board games or table tennis mixed with activities and games that explore the Christian faith

Parents are welcome to stay in Messy Church and join in with tea time at 17.15

For more information about Saturday Gathering please contact Jill Fraser or Fran Bailey

Messy Church and Saturday Gathering often feature on our Oakwood Church facebook page
